What are CERECs?
CERECs are precision-crafted crowns intended for same-day use. Using the latest in computer and software assisted technology, crowns can be made to order in a single visit, the same day.
Traditional tooth restorations require two visits – the first for crown preparation while the patient is under local anaesthesia and the second for placing the crown. With CEREC, however, the process is completed within a day, allowing you to carry your day-to-day activities while smiling with full-blown confidence.

We would strongly advise against this – dental crowns act to strengthen and protect your remaining tooth against further damage. They are vital for preserving the integrity of your affected tooth.
Same day crowns typically take about an hour to install. There’s no need for multiple visits. Furthermore, CERECs are made from thicker, more durable porcelain that can better withstand wear and tear.
About 5-15 years; however, crowns may need replacement before that if, at some point, a cavity forms underneath the crown.
